Mark's no-nonsense tell it like it is approach to tweeting comes through in his first book. Whether you are just starting out on Twitter or are a person who has more than 10,000 followers, like me, you will find it valuable. There are great tips, links and loads of information that will guide you through the crazy world of tweeting!

Mark was one of my first friends on Twitter. I had learned so much from him just from his tweets about using Social Media to build your brand, which I now use everyday, between building my personal brand but also the brands of my clients.

Now, after reading his book, I feel this gives me even more of an edge in this business! This book is A MUST READ for any Twitter user, whether you use it for personal or business, or like me, both.

I've been using this publication since it was released. As a training tool for my employees, it accomplishes all of my needs. I suggest it without hesitation to others in the marketing field and often carry it with me to conferences & events. I have a number of other books espousing the hows & whys of Twitter, but Mr. Murnahan's book hits the nail spot on. Additionally, his clever delivery and ability to relate his own learning experience make reading it a pleasure...not just another Twitter chore~!

I just finished this book, and though I already thought I was a twitter power user, now I know so much more about all the facets of twitter.
Mark explains in plain language how to do everything from setting up a twitter account, and sending your first tweet to using twitter to engage future and current customers for your business.

If you are a twitter beginner, this book is a gold mine of information that will save you time in getting set up and going. If you are an experienced user, Mark can help you to understand every part of the twitter experience and how to make twitter work for pleasure and business.

I never knew Twitter could be so entertaining and helpful at the same time! "Twitter for Business: Twitter for Friends" really opened my eyes up to several aspects of Twitter that I had no idea existed. It made me feel more confident that I could learn to tweet, and I could learn to engage others and form relationships and friendships that will be invaluable to me.

Mark Aaron Murnahan presents Twitter in a way anyone can understand. Not only does he cover the basics, he also covers businesses looking to increase their relationships with current or potential clients. In today's economy it pays to stay on top of what is happening in the world, what people are saying about your business (either good or bad!) and what it is that you can do to strengthen any relationship you wish to nurture and grow.

"Twitter for Business: Twitter for Friends" can help you get the most out of your Twitter experience. If you've never tweeted before, if you've tweeted a lot but haven't had the results you are hoping for, if you want to learn how to build relationships and make your Twitter experience the best it can be...this book is the one for you!

Mr. Murnahan's style of writing is casual and conversational. You feel like he is right there explaining Twitter to you. His helpful links, his personal stories, his failures and triumphs, are all out there for you to read and learn from.

Most of all, Mr. Murnahan's sincerity shines through this book. He truly wants to help you learn and grow with Twitter.

Having grown up in the days of vinyl records, manual typewriters, and black-and-white TV (all 4 channels), I'm definitely NOT tech savvy. After reading Everything Twitter I'm at least feeling confident that I could, book in hand, successfully navigate the Twitter website and get myself launched into the world of Twitter. The book has clearly written, step-by-step instructions and examples, together with an extensive glossary of terms and texting symbols. Don't let the first chapter intimidate you--it contains a history of Twitter and information about its current status using terminology that went right over my head. Chapter 2 will take you by the hand and lead you through. Well written for the novice Twitter user, and a handy reference to its finer points for the more experienced.

This book is very useful for someone new to the world of Twitter. It gives a lot of useful information to help someone get started on twitter. I esp found 5 step twitter starter program and A River of Uselessfulness very helpful. I also liked the Twictionary. This book is very easy to read and understand. This is a nice resource to someone new to the world of Twitter. I know that I have referred back to it numerous times as I was getting my handle on Twitter.

Twitter is talked about everywhere these days but not many of us really know how to use it effectively. I found the information in this book is written in such a way that it can be comfortably read straight through or used as a "how to" manual. Screen shots are included with each section to ensure you are following properly. Examples of how Twitter is used by different people and organizations is also included. I have this as an eBook so opened two screens while using it. I followed the steps and suggestions and now have an active Twitter site of my own.

I joined Twitter out of curiosity, and without really knowing much about it. Consequently I did not find it particularly useful and pretty much stopped tweeting. However, now that I have read Everything Twitter,I am going to experiment more. The authors start with a brief history of the Twitter phenomenon and some of its more famous (notorious?) users, then provide a step-by-step guide to getting started. They also give good advice on what not to do! I was fascinated by all the web sites and tools out there that are Twitter-related; the authors describe many of the most interesting ones. There is a whole language associated with Twitter, and the Twictionary chapter defines all the Twords for you. For the more technical, the authors show you how to plug Twitter into your web site or blog. They offer many tips & techniques for Tweeting from your phone. Overall, the book has made me want to play with Twitter more. It is also very readable, with good use of white space and an attractive layout - more than I can say for many of the technical manuals and user guides I have encountered!

I'm afraid I remain unconverted. I signed up to Twitter one time and after that every time I tried to sign in it said I didn't exist, but even aside from that I didn't get hooked like everyone else seems to have been. I don't like the thing and I don't understand the appeal.

I hoped that this book would help me understand, maybe convert me... it didn't. However, it was very informative and I highly suggest it to anyone who likes Twitter, but is just looking for more information or tips and tricks. It everything from a short history of Twitter, to a dictionary of Twitter terms, to tips on how to get more followers, to a description of how to use Twitter on your mobile device. Everything I can think of that I'd want to know is included, so I recommend it without hesitation.
